On the afternoon of March 6th, the School of Economics and Finance held a symposium with faculty representatives regarding the application for doctoral programs. The meeting was attended by over 30 teacher representatives and key members of the school's leadership, including Chen Haibo, the Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Finance, Sun Houjun, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean, Yan Jun, a Vice Dean, and Hu Xuhua, the Dean of the Industrial Economic Research Institute. The meeting was chaired by Wang Xiang, the Secretary of the School's Party Committee.

During the meeting, Wang Xiang provided an overview of the progress and key tasks related to the application for doctoral programs. He emphasized the importance of the new round of doctoral program applications for the development and construction of a high-level university, urging all school leaders and teachers to unify their thoughts, enhance their understanding, come together, overcome difficulties, and prepare for the application with high standards.

As part of the meeting agenda, Hu Xuhua introduced the proposed conditions and second-level subject directions for the upcoming doctoral program application. He provided details about the names of the subject directions, primary research areas, application schedules, and potential difficulties and challenges the application process might face in this new round of applications.

Chen Haibo, Sun Houjun, Yan Jun, and other school leaders also shared practical recommendations regarding the refinement of distinctive subject advantages, innovative approaches to the application process, optimization of various resources, and strengthening support and guarantees for the work.
