On November 23, the School of Finance and Economics convened a defense meeting for the Foreign Postdoctoral Research Station, with Jean Bpatiste Bernard Pea-Assounga and Abdul-Rahaman Abdul-Rashid in attendance.

The meeting took place in Conference Room 1309 of Sanjiang Building. Notably, Professor Wu Junmin of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, Professor Hu Xuhua, Professor Li Kaodui, Professor Yao Hongxing, and Professor Zhu Naiping of Jiangsu University were invited to form the expert review panel.

At the review meeting, Yao Hongxing, the co-supervisor of the two postdoctoral fellows, presented an overview of their work performance, scientific research, and published papers during their tenure at the station. Subsequently, JEAN and ABDUL delivered a lecture titled "Research on Financial Development, Investment Decisions, Corporate Social Responsibility, Innovation, Renewable Energy Consumption, Stakeholders’ Satisfaction, Environmental Sustainability, Competitive Advantage, Financial Innovation, and Reserve Adequacy and Management Strategies of the Bank of Ghana: The Quantity Issue and Practices in Details." This detailed report provided the review committee with insights into the project background, research content, conclusions, prospects, and scientific research results.

Following the presentations, the review experts conducted an objective and comprehensive assessment of the reports and statements. They posed pertinent questions on relevant issues, provided targeted recommendations for modifications, and delineated the direction for further improvement and in-depth research. The expert group unanimously agreed that the research work of the two postdoctoral fellows was well-conceived, employed advanced methodologies, presented detailed data, offered thorough discussions, established credible conclusions, and fulfilled the exit requirements. The postdoctoral research work station was acknowledged as an effective platform for fostering the integration of production, education, and research, as well as a catalyst for driving enterprise innovation and development.

Currently, there are 40 postdoctoral fellows in our institute, with 37 of them being foreign postdoctoral fellows. These postdoctoral fellows, upon entering the station, are leveraging their professional expertise to the fullest, engaging in diligent study, actively pursuing scientific research endeavors, and seeking national, provincial, and ministerial scientific research project opportunities. Their efforts are furnishing robust scientific, technological, and talent support for national development, and are making significant contributions to expediting the establishment of a scientific and technological power.
