Recently, the higher education evaluation organization, Shanghai Ranking, officially released the '2023 Shanghai Ranking's Academic Ranking of World Universities.' The ranking showcases the top 1000 research universities globally, with a total of 191 Chinese mainland universities making the list.

The ranking reveals that Jiangsu University is among the top 300 universities worldwide, Chinese mainland universities are within the range of 33rd to 50th, and Jiangsu-based universities rank from 4th to 6th.

Shanghai Ranking's Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), first published in 2003, is the world's first comprehensive global university ranking.
